David Tonoyan Refuses to Testify
The newspaper 'Zhoghouvd' reports: 'As known, yesterday former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and his close associate David Galstyan, known as Patron Davo, were arrested. According to the information we have received, although the former officials are in custody, the investigation body has encountered a dead end. The issue is that former Minister Tonoyan has refused to testify, which is hindering the NSS from moving forward with the criminal case and identifying the guilty parties. In other words, the NSS is anxiously waiting for Tonoyan, who has been in custody for two months, to provide testimony.
It should be noted that the 'Zhoghouvd' newspaper has reported that the Chief of Staff Artyom Davtyan will also be summoned for questioning, and it is not ruled out that he may also face charges in the criminal case initiated by the NSS.
Currently, there are three defendants in the criminal case initiated under the features of abuse of official authority and large-scale embezzlement: former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, arms supplier David Galstyan, known as Patron Davo, and yesterday the Deputy Chief of Staff Stepan Galstyan was arrested.'
