Aliyev Announces 'Promising Information' Following Meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced in an interview with the Spanish EFE agency that following the recent meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia during the United Nations General Assembly session, the Azerbaijani minister provided him with "promising information."
“Judging by the information given by our minister, I believe the meeting was constructive and promising,” said Aliyev. He noted that “after the end of the war, our position remains unchanged.”
“We want to build normal relations with Armenia based on mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of both countries. We are ready to immediately begin the delimitation of our borders and, of course, after completing this process, to demarcate them. We have also expressed our readiness to start working with Armenia on a future peace treaty,” Aliyev stated.
