Forest Ranger Cut Down Trees Illegally

On September 25, law enforcement officers checked a "VAZ-2121" vehicle loaded with timber, suspecting illegal transportation of wood on Khorenatsi Street in Stepanavan. This was reported by the Police Department.

The 35-year-old forest ranger failed to present the relevant documentation for the timber and admitted to illegally cutting down trees using a chainsaw from the number 10 conservation area of Stepanavan Forest Management.

The vehicle loaded with timber has been transferred to a specially protected area of the department. A professional inspection has been appointed, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
