We Have More Severe Cases Than in Previous Waves, Says Anahit Avanesyan

“We are in a rather tense situation. 20 healthcare facilities are fully or partially serving COVID-19 patients,” said Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a press briefing, discussing the situation related to the coronavirus. She added that two more healthcare facilities will join the service for COVID-19 patients over the week.

“The characteristic of the Delta variant is that we have a greater need for hospitalization and there are more severe cases than in previous waves,” the minister stated.
