We are still patient, yet our patience has its limits, Aliyev threatens
The President of Azerbaijan has stated that it will not take long for them to open the Zangezur corridor. Aliyev made these remarks in an interview with Anadolu Agency.
At the same time, Aliyev threatened that their “cup of patience is filling up.”
“The trilateral statement signed on the night of November 9 to 10 clearly states that communication must be established between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The opening of such communication does not take much time. The total length of the road is only 40 kilometers, building this road will not pose a special challenge, although Armenia does not give its consent. Negotiations are futile. That is, Armenia is grossly violating the terms of the November 10 statement. We are still patient, yet our patience has its limits. The Second Nagorno-Karabakh War showed what happens when our cup of patience fills up. Therefore, we are giving Armenia the opportunity to fulfill all the conditions of the November 10 statement and act responsibly,” Aliyev said.
