Shooting in Yerevan Leaves One Woman Dead

A vehicle of unknown make approached two citizens in front of the "Victory" Park in Yerevan, from which shots were fired using a submachine gun. Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the Armenian Police, informed "Pastinfo" that on September 28 at 2:30 AM, a report was received from the hospital stating that two citizens—a woman and a man—were admitted with gunshot wounds. The injured woman, born in 1994, later died in the hospital.

Both injured citizens were transferred to the hospital from the area in front of "Victory" Park. Janoyan noted that it has been determined that an unknown vehicle approached them in that area, and someone inside fired shots at them using a submachine gun, resulting in injuries.

“During the inspection of the scene, submachine gun cartridges were discovered, and an examination has been ordered. An investigation is underway,” he mentioned.
