New Details on Yesterday's Murder: The Victim is the Daughter of a Notable Businessman in Armenia
Today, September 28, it was reported that Diana Darbinyan, a 27-year-old who was shot dead near the 'Victory' Park in Yerevan, is the daughter of Bagrat Dabrinyan, a well-known businessman in Vanadzor and the general director of the 'Gloria' garment factory. The 29-year-old Vazgen Margaryan, who sustained gunshot wounds, is the husband of D. Darbinyan and works as a director at one of the prominent LLCs in the republic.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the police and investigators have already identified the supposed suspect who committed the murder and fled the scene, a 24-year-old resident of Yerevan. It has also been revealed that prior to the gunfire, there was a dispute between this young man, named Levon, and V. Margaryan over domestic issues at a café located at the intersection of Sayat Nova and A. Manukyan streets, which escalated into a brawl.
Under the instruction of the investigator, the Land Rover vehicle was moved to the secure area of the Arabkir police department.
Earlier reports from the site indicated that gunfire was heard in Yerevan on September 28. At around 02:30, a call was received at the operational management center of the Yerevan police department, reporting that shots had been fired near the 'Victory' Park on Freedom Avenue. Yerevan Police Chief Sevan Kocharyan, Deputy Police Chief Arthur Zakaryan for operational matters, and the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department Hovhannes Aristakessian arrived at the scene.
Approximately 14 cartridges fired from a handgun were found at the scene. There were also traces of gunfire on the wall behind the municipal transport stop. A Land Rover with the Russian license plate P 999 HA 99 RUS was discovered in front of the Kanaker-Zeytun Medical Center, with blood-like traces found inside the vehicle.
