Who Are the QP Members Who Applied for Rent Compensation

10 deputies from the 8th convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia have applied to receive compensation for housing rent. According to armlur.am, those who have applied for compensation include Vahe Ghalumyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Hovik Aghazaryan, Matevos Asatryan, Arpine Davoyan, Knyaz Hasanov, Aren Mkrtchyan, Sergey Movsisyan, Lilit Stepanyan, and Narek Ghahramanyan.

So, who are the QP members that applied for compensation and what assets do they have according to their official declarations? According to the declaration submitted to the Corruption Prevention Commission, Deputy Matevos Asatryan has 5 land plots in the Ararat Province's Aparan community, other real estate attached to the land, a garage, and a newly built unauthorized structure. Additionally, the deputy owns a 2007 'UAZ' and a 2019 'Toyota' vehicle.

At the time of submitting the declaration, Asatryan had 258,000 drams in the bank and 1.5 million drams in cash, with an income consisting of his deputy salary of 7 million drams and a loan received from the bank totaling 389,000 drams. Asatryan's wife's declaration contains only monetary data—500,000 drams in cash and about 200,000 drams in the bank.

It should be noted that each deputy receives 100,000 drams for housing rent compensation in accordance with the decision No. N0-08-N of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia dated April 3, 2018.
