The Balance Between Military Leadership and Combat Troops is Significantly Disrupted: Movses Hakobyan

Former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Movses Hakobyan states in an interview with the "Haytarar" newspaper that there is a significant imbalance between military leadership and combat troops. According to him, instead of adhering to established norms, we are moving in the opposite direction. The former high-ranking military officer reports that there is a large number of leaders in the army today, but very few soldiers.

“The redistribution of the budget allocated to the military is also wrong,” he says. “My fellow servicemen may be upset with me, but the reality is that incorrect budget redistribution will also dismantle what we have built over the years. The budget allocated to the army consists of 4 parts: salaries, training, provision, and development. The first three sectors should receive equal amounts, say 30 percent each, while 10 percent of the total budget should be allocated for development, but even that balance is disrupted.”
