59-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian, Victim Hospitalized
Today, on September 25, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 19:30, a 59-year-old resident of Kotayk Province, Armen M., hit a pedestrian, Anahit G., with his VAZ 2101 vehicle near the "Karevel" restaurant complex on Arshakunyats Avenue. The complete details of the victim are currently being clarified.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the patrol officers from the Yerevan division of the Police Rapid Response Service, led by Patrol Service Chief Arthur Umrashatyan, promptly arrived at the scene. Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Rescue Service, including a firefighting and rescue team with one combat unit, also arrived swiftly.
The injured pedestrian received first aid at the scene from a duty crew of ambulance doctors who had arrived quickly and was subsequently transported to the "Erebuni" Medical Center.
