Video: There's No One Unvaccinated in This Hall. I Am Even Considering Getting Vaccinated Again, Says Prime Minister

During the start of the government meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the vaccination process and the established rules according to which employees who are not vaccinated must present an PCR test result to their employer twice a month.

“Since the PCR test is a paid service, the question arises as to how additional financial costs can be imposed on people. No additional costs are imposed on people because they do not have the need or necessity to incur that expense. The government ensures that our beloved compatriots receive vaccines absolutely free of charge, meaning the citizen decides whether to incur an expense or not,” said Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister emphasized that there have been no significant complications from over 300,000 vaccinations. “Why do I say significant? Because, yes, a person may experience a fever, as is the case with all vaccinations—from the measles vaccine to others,” Pashinyan stated.

Pashinyan also addressed other discussions related to the vaccination process. “The next emphasis that I often hear is that people are trying to see conspiracy in the vaccination process. The government itself was the first to get vaccinated. All the people sitting in this hall, if they do not have contraindications, are all vaccinated. So, when establishing any order for citizens, we first ourselves adhere to that order. I am vaccinated, we are all vaccinated, and our family members are vaccinated. To be honest, I am now thinking that also in accordance with medical recommendations, when we understand that there is a need to get vaccinated again concerning antibodies, we must definitely do that. Our vaccination rates are quite low, including in regional terms, which has explanations related to the political situation in our country established in the first half of the year and subsequent situations, but we need to fill in the gaps and solve this problem,” said Pashinyan.
