The Fines Citizens Will Face Starting October 1 Have Been Revealed
In Armenia, starting October 1, there is a requirement to either get vaccinated or undergo testing every 14 days. Anna Harutyunyan, the head of the Hygiene, Sanitary and Anti-Epidemic Control Department, announced during a press conference today that employers will face penalties for violations of these requirements.
“The goal of the Health and Labor Inspection Body is not to issue fines, but to prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” she stated.
According to Harutyunyan, the fine for individuals for the first time will be between 10,000 and 20,000 AMD, while legal entities will face fines ranging from 40,000 to 120,000 AMD.
When asked what measures would be taken if some employees are neither vaccinated nor tested, the official responded, “We can visit an institution twice in one day; there are no restrictions. If there are many violations and a directive has been issued to eliminate those violations, follow-up inspections will be conducted to see how our directive has been implemented.”
