VIDEO. The Project for 100,000 Dram Payments Was Another Lie by the Authorities, MP Says
The announcement made in December 2019 regarding the provision of 100,000 drams to large families and those who received parental glory medals has essentially been another lie and deception. This was stated today, September 24, during a conversation with journalists by Anna Mkrtchyan, a member of the 'I Have Honor' faction, who provided further details.
"I want to expose this lie: it turns out that the announcement made in December 2019, which stated that 100,000 drams were to be paid to large families and those who received parental glory medals, was essentially another lie and forgery. The project was supposed to be implemented on April 16, 2020, as indicated in the official response, by making amendments and additions to the 'Law on State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia'. However, this issue was circumvented. In other words, the promise made in December 2019 was supposed to be implemented by April 2020, but this issue was simply bypassed through changes in this law, so that later they could provide the answer that the adoption of the project has simply been postponed," she said.
According to her, these parents have been sitting and waiting every month, and they are being deceived with claims that they will receive their 100,000 drams next month. They think the issue lies with some dishonest official in the administration, whereas this is yet another lie from Nikol Pashinyan,” she added.
The MP noted that they will conduct studies on other social programs to uncover similar cases.
