Photo: Instead of getting closer to these countries, Armenia's government continues to bow before Turkey, says Turkologist
The Turkologist and co-founder of the 'Armenian Project' NGO, Varouj Geghamyan, has published a photo on his Facebook page along with a commentary.
In the post, he stated: "The image shows a moment from recent joint military exercises conducted by Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. These countries share a desire and need to combat Turkey's expansionist policies in the region. This is part of an unofficial anti-Turkish alliance, which includes other nations as well, and messages and calls have been made for Armenia to join it.
No country in the region can fully resist Turkey’s aggressive policies alone, which is why the formation of such an anti-Turkish alliance is essential. However, instead of coming closer to these countries and developing joint strategies to counter the direct threats posed by Turkey, Armenia's de facto pro-Turkish government is continuing to bow before Turkey under the capitulating leadership, handing over our sovereignty and meeting the conditions of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem.
Currently, the Armenian authorities are perceived as a great opportunity for Turkey to implement its strategic plans (full conquest of the South Caucasus, final dissolution of the Armenian political entity, and regional supremacy). It is no coincidence that yesterday, Turkish President Erdoğan also spoke about the positive signals coming from Armenia. I discussed all of this in more detail during my interview yesterday."
