Erdogan: I Have Never Had to Go Through Anything Like This with Any US Leader; I Have Different Expectations from Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Turkey expects a different approach from the US and Russia regarding the situation in Syria. This was reported by HaberTurk.

"I have never had to go through anything like this with any US leader. As two NATO members, we should adhere to the same position. However, the US is currently more vigorously supporting terrorist organizations than expected (in this case, Erdogan likely refers to the PKK, which is banned in Turkey)," the Turkish leader said.

He also shared his views on Russia: "It now seems that Syria is not as relevant for the United States. Here we are, with Russia and Iran. I also have different expectations from Putin regarding the issue in Syria," Erdogan concluded.
