New Agreement Between Zelensky and Erdogan

The Presidents of Ukraine and Turkey, Vladimir Zelensky and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who are in the USA to participate in the 76th UN General Assembly, have agreed during a meeting to activate the work on signing an agreement on a free trade zone between the two countries, TASS reports.

The parties discussed the pace of cooperation in the energy sector in the context of diversifying energy sources, as well as the implementation of joint projects, particularly concerning housing for representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

The interlocutors also discussed the issue of maintaining a stable security situation in the Black Sea region. Erdogan accepted Zelensky's invitation to visit Ukraine to participate in the 10th meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council scheduled for this fall.
