Bayramov Again Levels Baseless Accusations Against Armenia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, during his speech at the UN General Assembly, accused Armenia of "delaying negotiations." This was reported by lurer.com.

He noted that the resolution of the conflict opens new opportunities for regional cooperation, development, and prosperity while simultaneously regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to him, after the joint statement of November 10, 2020, and the trilateral statement of January 11, 2021, by Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia, the three countries have begun working towards the opening of transport communications in the region.

“The revitalization of relations will significantly accelerate trade and transportation through Armenia and Azerbaijan, benefiting not only these countries but also their partners. This will be an important factor for normalization and will play a positive role in creating conditions for sustainable peace and stability both in the region and beyond. The trilateral working group on communication opening issues has started work in specific sectors. Although the opening of communication could be significant progress, Armenia is attempting to block advancement through tactics of creating obstacles and delaying negotiations,” Bayramov stated.
