Russia Responds Poorly to Turkey's Statement on Crimea Elections

Moscow will draw conclusions from the statements made by Turkey's Foreign Ministry regarding the non-acceptance of the elections held in Crimea. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, while commenting on Ankara's announcement.

"We never ignore such statements. If they are not tired of hearing the relevant remarks, reminders, and admonitions from Moscow, it means they are patient. However, this does not lead to anything other than the fact that we draw appropriate conclusions, which, clearly, do not serve the development of bilateral relations," said the diplomat.

It should be reminded that earlier, Ankara announced that the elections held in Crimea by the State Duma of the Russian Federation have no legal force for Turkey, as the country does not recognize the annexation of the peninsula by Russia.

Notably, the Russian Central Election Commission had earlier released the results of the parliamentary elections, according to which five parties and representatives from three other parties will enter the 8th convocation of the State Duma.
