Information I Have is That Families Are Not Being Visited, Not Communicated With, Unaware and Not Interested: Albert Hovhannisyan's Father
“Because of the lives of these boys resting in this and other pantheons, all this exists. We are eternally indebted to those boys,” said the father of fallen hero Albert Hovhannisyan, Artak Hovhannisyan, in a conversation with journalists at Yerablur. This was reported by pastinfo.am.
The hero's father noted that there are several problems today and they are noticeable. Instead of paying great attention to colorful festivities, energies could be invested in solving problems and strengthening certain areas. “It’s not that the war has ended; we should live peacefully like this,” he said.
Hovhannisyan stated that there is much to be worried about concerning the families of fallen servicemen. These concerns relate to both health issues, living conditions, and mental states.
“I have a lot of information that families are not being visited, not communicated with, are unaware, and are not even interested. It doesn’t matter to me who it might be — the government, the opposition, people; I am speaking about everyone,” he added.
The hero's father pointed out that it is evident today that Armenia is not independent. The sovereign territories and borders of the Republic of Armenia are not under its control.
“Numerous areas have come under the control of Azerbaijan. What independence are we talking about when we cannot live independently? What kind of independence is it when a person can be captured while going to their ancestral village?” he said.
