If that peace is to be thrown at us as a mercy, let Pashinyan take it and leave our country: Tonoyan

“Do you want a kneeling peace? Are you asking for peace in a plead? If that peace is to be thrown at us as a mercy, let Pashinyan take it and leave our country,” stated the leader of the ‘5165 National Conservative Movement’ party, Karin Tonoyan, ahead of the candlelight vigil and silent march scheduled for today, addressing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to meet with the President of Turkey.

“Even if he tries to impose this peace on us through his governmental mechanisms, there is still guerrilla warfare, right? We will achieve that victory,” Tonoyan noted.

He did not find it surprising that this event coincided with the festive mood of the national celebration. “This is the handwriting of this elite: to occupy people with something while simultaneously signing a fateful agreement and putting pen to paper. I am more than convinced that much worse things are happening behind the curtains, and we will find out about them, but we must be prepared for everything.”

Tonoyan emphasized that it is no coincidence that Pashinyan made the proposal in Batumi, recalling the Batumi Agreement, and he assured that history is repeating itself. However, he stated that we are now in an informational era, people are informed, and we must not allow the same mistake to be repeated.

“We must fight, and the fight for our children must be ruthless. No one's blood is redder than our children's blood. I will fight, and at least my conscience will be at peace knowing that I did not yield to what they impose on me like a lamb. After all, we must have national dignity. We will never kneel before the enemy. Go to Yerablur; even the wind there has a message, and that whisper will one day turn into a shout.”

It is noteworthy that the vigil and march in memory of soldiers who fell during the 44-day war is starting towards the Yerablur Pantheon. The march will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence. The anniversary will be celebrated at Republic Square at the state level, with the participation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, including the promised colorful concert.
