Video: The Fire at Aravik National Park Has Rekindled, Involving the Ministry of Defense Helicopter

The fire that broke out in various areas of the Aravik National Park from 15 different hotspots has seen 12 of them extinguished. However, due to wind conditions after noon, the fire has rekindled. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Due to challenging and hazardous terrain, rescuers have faced significant difficulties delivering water to the fire sites at a height of 5 km. Firefighting efforts have involved 85 rescuers from the fire-rescue divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Yerevan, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik, as well as 18 employees from the Zangezur biosphere complex.

The Ministry of Defense helicopter has also been involved in combating the fire. On-site were the Director of the Rescue Service Armen Gasparyan, Head of the Rescue Forces Administration Armen Gevorgyan, and the Head of the Firefighting and Rescue Works Organization Department Arthur Voskanyan.

Due to darkness and complex terrain, firefighting operations have been temporarily halted, with staff from the Zangezur biosphere complex assigned to standby duty.

It is worth noting that the fire in the Aravik National Park area broke out on September 15.
