There Are No Mechanisms to Prevent Both Abduction and Getting Lost, Says Tigran Abrahamyan
Member of the National Assembly from the "Honor of Having" faction Tigran Abrahamyan made a post on his Facebook page addressing the security issues on the Goris-Kapan interstate road.
The post is presented below:
"Incidents occurring at various sections of the Goris-Kapan interstate road in recent times demonstrate that the relevant security systems in that section of the border are either not functioning or are severely disrupted. Yesterday evening, the situation of two Armenian citizens who returned to the homeland after being under Azerbaijani control will still be investigated, but the fact remains that in that border area, security mechanisms are not operational that would prevent both abduction and getting lost. Simply renovating alternative roads will not solve the problem; there are other visible and hidden issues that the current government has not taken serious steps to address or lacks the political will to implement."
