Larsi Crossing Capacity to Increase in 2022, a Significant Practical Step: Dmitry Volvach

“The capacity of the Upper Lars crossing will increase by 6.5 times in 2022,” said Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, during a media briefing at the event titled "Armenian-Russian Economic Cooperation: Prospective Projects."

Volvach announced that the reconstruction at Upper Lars will be completed by mid-2022 for passenger vehicles, and by the end of 2022 for cargo transportation.

“The capacity at Upper Lars will increase 6.5 times. The possibility of up to 2,650 trucks passing through daily will expand to reach up to 3,000 vehicles per day,” he stated.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia considered this a serious practical step for cooperation in both bilateral relations and within the EAEU framework, as well as for increasing trade turnover.
