Deputy Chief of Police Headquarters Injured in Hit-and-Run in Yerevan; Driver Flees the Scene

At approximately 11:30 PM, an unidentified driver of a vehicle without license plates struck a pedestrian, 42-year-old Vahe Yenokyan, on Melkumov Street. The injured individual was taken to Armenia Medical Center with bodily injuries, while the driver fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian helpless.
According to the information, materials are being prepared by V. Baghdasaryan regarding the incident. The police are undertaking necessary operational and investigative actions to identify the driver who committed the hit-and-run and to locate both him and the vehicle.
According to G. Shamshyan, the pedestrian who was hit works at the police headquarters of the Republic of Armenia as the deputy chief and holds the rank of police colonel.
