Stabbing of 20-Year-Old Revealed: 18-Year-Old Youth Surrenders to Police
According to Shamshyan.com, on September 16, officers from the Avan police department identified where and under what circumstances 20-year-old Arman Tadevosyan was stabbed. He was transferred to the University Hospital No. 1 with a diagnosis of a 'stab wound to the right thigh and wrist.'
At the hospital, he stated that he had been stabbed in the territory of the 'Harsnakar' restaurant complex located on Acharyan Street in the Avan administrative district.
However, police discovered that the information he provided about the stabbing location was inaccurate. Through operational measures, it was established that he was actually stabbed near 38/21 Babajanyan Street in the Avan administrative district, and the assailant was 18-year-old Edmon Parsamyan, a resident of Avan.
As a result of explanatory work conducted by police, Parsamyan voluntarily presented himself to the department.
The weapon used in the crime, a knife, has not been found.
Police attempted to ascertain from the victim why he stated that the incident occurred in 'the territory of Harsnakar restaurant complex.' He replied: 'I was in pain, I didn't know, maybe I confused the place.'
Previously, it was reported that a stabbing took place in Yerevan on September 15. Around 20:40, the New Nork police department received a call from the University Hospital No. 1 that a young man with a diagnosis of a 'stab wound to the right thigh and wrist' had been brought in. An operational group from the Avan police department, headed by Deputy Chief Arushanyan, went to the hospital, where doctors informed the police that the victim was unable to provide an explanation at that time.
While doctors were fighting for the victim's life, Avan police officers determined that the person admitted to the hospital was 20-year-old Arman T., who claimed he had been stabbed in the area of the 'Harsnakar' restaurant complex on Acharyan Street in the Avan administrative district.
