Collision on Yerevan-Sevan Highway Involves ZIL: One Dead and Injured

On September 17, 2021, at around 06:10, a collision occurred on the 32nd kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, on the lane heading towards Yerevan. A vehicle identified as a 'TOYOTA ALPHARD 2.4' collided with a 'ZIL' truck. As a result of the accident, the driver of the 'TOYOTA ALPHARD 2.4' died at the scene, while a passenger in the same vehicle was taken to a medical center with bodily injuries.

This information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Charentsavan Investigation Department of the Kotayk Regional Investigation Division under part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code.

An examination of the scene of the traffic accident has been conducted, and a forensic examination of the body has been ordered. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
