Reports of Azerbaijanis with Iranian Passports in Artsakh Are False
Reports circulating in Artsakh and Armenian media concerning the presence of individuals with Iranian passports involved in construction works in Artsakh, who may be Azerbaijanis, are unfounded.
We would like to clarify that such suspicions do not correspond to reality. As in the past, foreign nationals are engaged and continue to participate in various professional and non-professional works, including construction, in the Republic of Artsakh, which should not be presented as an extraordinary phenomenon.
It is noteworthy that in each such case, the National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh carries out necessary measures within the framework of its functions set forth by the law on national security bodies, in collaboration with its Armenian partners, to detect, prevent, and thwart the intelligence activities of foreign states' special services and other organizations, as well as individual persons.
The information is provided by the press service of the NSS.
