Nagorno-Karabakh No Longer Exists, Nagorno-Karabakh Is Now Azerbaijan: What Azerbaijanis Told Armenian Children

On September 17, during the monitoring of the Goris-Kapan road in the Vorotan area, armed Azerbaijani police stopped a minibus transporting Armenian children and forcefully removed a sticker depicting the flag of the Republic of Artsakh from the bus.

The Deputy Mayor of Goris, Karen Kocharyan, reported that the Azerbaijanis behaved brazenly, lowering all passengers and starting to check the vehicle. Fortunately, Russian border guards noticed the situation and allowed the children to continue their journey.

A video circulating on the internet shows how an Azerbaijani policeman spoke to the children and teenagers in a threatening tone: "You should know that Nagorno-Karabakh no longer exists, Nagorno-Karabakh is now Azerbaijan, do you understand?"

Deputy Mayor Kocharyan had difficulty stating whether the minibus was heading to Artsakh or coming from Artsakh to Syunik in a conversation with NEWS.am.

It is noteworthy that after the establishment of a police checkpoint in the Vorotan area, Azerbaijanis have been stopping trucks coming from Iran for several days, checking drivers, collecting money, and only then allowing them to continue on their way. Just two days ago, Azerbaijani forces arrested two Iranian drivers. Today, they also stopped a vehicle delivering food to soldiers, but it continued its journey under the escort of Armenian and Russian border guards.
