The Governor's Close Associate as the Mayoral Candidate: Who Will Be Nominated in Ijevan?

The newspaper "Hayots Ashkhar” reports that the "Civil Contract" party will have its own candidate in Ijevan, the hometown of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to the information from "Hayots Ashkhar", the authorities will nominate the acting mayor of Ijevan, Arthur Jagharyan, for the local self-government elections scheduled for November 14.

Yesterday, we attempted to contact Jagharyan throughout the day, but all attempts were unsuccessful. The acting mayor left all our phone calls unanswered. Former MP, Pashinyan's relative, Sipan Pashinyan, also did not respond to phone calls, as he is reportedly currently engaged in pre-election matters in Ijevan. He is overseeing the election-related issues and supporting Jagharyan.

According to our sources, Arthur Jagharyan has close relations with the Galumyan brothers. It is with the endorsement of both ruling party MP Vahe Galumyan and his brother, Governor Hayk Galumyan, that Jagharyan has been presented to the authorities and has gained approval as a candidate.
