Russia Expects Prompt Response: Zakharova on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Border Demarcation Process
We are monitoring the situation in separate sections of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The developments in the area near the village of Vorotan once again emphasize the need to initiate the demarcation and subsequent delimitation process. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in response to questions regarding the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“Russia's proposals on this matter have been communicated to both Baku and Yerevan. We expect a prompt response to organize the next steps. At the same time, we will continue our efforts to unblock economic and transportation connections with Armenia and Azerbaijan in the region within the framework of the trilateral agreements of November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021,” Zakharova said.
