Major Car Accident in Aragatsotn Region: Doctors Fight for Driver's Life

Today, on September 16, a major car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. Around 5:35 PM, 41-year-old Gagik Gharibyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his Lexus vehicle at the beginning of the village of Parpi under still unknown circumstances. The car veered off the road, collided with rocks, and then rolled over, ending up in a citizen's apple orchard.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, the driver was severely injured and first assisted by bystanders. Quick response teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry, specifically the fire and rescue squad from the 19th unit in Ashtarak, were promptly on the scene. The medical team from the “Ashtarak” medical center first provided initial aid at the location and then transported him to the medical center, from where he was later transferred to the “Astghik” medical center by a resuscitation ambulance arriving from Yerevan.

The rescuers disconnected the electrical system of the vehicle, secured the gas cylinder, and then, with the help of citizens, managed to turn it back upright.
