Iranian Drivers Will Be Released Within Three Days, Says Deputy Prime Minister
The Iranian drivers detained by Azerbaijani police on the Goris-Kapan highway are likely to be released within three days. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, during a conversation with journalists, as reported by armlur.am.
“Russian border guards are working on this issue; negotiations are currently ongoing, and Iran is also working through its diplomatic channels. In this regard, the issue is largely not in our court,” said Suren Papikyan.
According to him, the transportation of cargo from Iran to Armenia will not stop. “We currently have alternative ways to transport all cargo to any area in Armenia and to consider Armenia as a transit country for Iran,” he added.
