The Case of Onik Gasparyan Against the President and Prime Minister Has Been Terminated

The Administrative Court has terminated the proceedings of the case brought by former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan against President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Gasparyan had approached the court to demand the recognition of the absence of a legal relationship regarding his dismissal from the position of Chief of the General Staff, in the absence of an administrative act for his dismissal.

The court noted that the plaintiff had already been able to submit a challenge to restore his violated rights, based on the very same dismissal order. It is worth reminding that Gasparyan had submitted three claims to the Administrative Court. Judge Mher Petrosyan stated that three parallel claims could not be examined at the same time, thus he terminated the case under his consideration.

Onik Gasparyan was dismissed from his position on March 10.
