This Poster is My Personal Initiative and Has Nothing to Do with the Party: The Author of the Notable Poster Revealed
The poster featuring Putin's image and the phrase "Forever Together" is my personal initiative and has nothing to do with the party. This was stated in an interview with ArmDaily.am by Yerjanik Ghazaryan, a member of the Armenian Communist Party.
"I find this very normal, and it is my personal initiative, not the party's. This is my civic position, as I believe that if there can be Biden on the Parakar road, who has done nothing for Armenia throughout history, especially given our over 300 years of friendship with Russia, I think it's right and unfair for Biden to be there, especially when he's used the term genocide, while Russia recognized the genocide back in 1995," Ghazaryan said.
Regarding the funding for placing the posters, he indicated that some people, benefactors, and donors who wished to remain anonymous contributed. "There are those from Armenia, as well as from Russia, who are citizens of Armenia living in Russia. We have supporters spread all over the world, including the diaspora in the U.S., and everywhere there are Armenian representatives committed to Armenia and wanting our homeland to prosper. As for when Armenia has developed, we all know when that was," Ghazaryan noted.
He is convinced that apart from Russia, neither the U.S. nor any other country can have military representation in Armenia, as seen through the examples of Georgia and Ukraine, which have faced devastating consequences.
Commenting on his view of Armenia joining Russia, he stated it would be the only way to preserve what remains, as the last three years have shown signs of disorganization, leading only to losses. "In this case, at least Russia will not allow us to lose further, the people will thrive, and Armenia will develop. In any case, the Armenian identity and the Armenian will be preserved," he said.
Concerning the local self-government elections, Ghazaryan rates their chances quite high in Goris. "I assess our chances as quite high. These thirty independent years have shown that they were years of dependency and the people have only faced losses. However, during our leadership and working style, we have always proved to be beside the people and working for them," Ghazaryan stated.
He is sure that despite the changing times, their main goal is to reconstruct the Soviet Union in perhaps a different form, citing the European Union as a replica of the Soviet Union.
Speaking about their mayoral candidate for Goris, he remarked, "We do not personalize; it is the party that is participating in the elections. They will vote for the party and the party's program first. Furthermore, I can say that our candidate is a woman, marking the first time in Goris's history that a female candidate for mayor has emerged: Anahit Isakhanyan, who has worked as a teacher for many years, is a respected educator. The second candidate also well-known in Goris is Martin Mayisuryan, the first secretary of the regional committee, who has worked for many years during both Soviet times and afterward."
Additionally, Yerjanik Ghazaryan confirmed that he also personally initiated the placement of Putin's posters in Gyumri.
