NSS Is Handling the Situation: Syunik Governor on Current Circumstances

The placement of an Azerbaijani police checkpoint on the Goris-Kapan highway and the inspection of Iranian trucks is affecting the psychological state of the local population. This was stated by Syunik Governor Melikset Poghosyan in response to a question from "Factinfo."

"It is very bad; Persian vehicles are being stopped. This impacts the psychological state of the society. If you go out, you see armed Turks; this affects a person, of course, it impacts society," the governor said.

When asked if negotiations are taking place regarding the removal of the Azerbaijani checkpoint from Armenian territory, the Syunik governor urged the inquiry to be directed to the NSS: "This is not our issue; there is an NSS, they are dealing with this question, ask them," Melikset Poghosyan stated.
