Nikol Pashinyan to Attend CSTO Security Council Meeting in Dushanbe
On September 16, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Security Council meeting will be held in Dushanbe, under the chairmanship of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon. This was announced in a statement published on the organization's official website.
The event will be attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the host, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. The CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas will also participate in the meeting.
The CSTO official site reported that the meeting will address current international and regional issues, as well as summarize the main results of the CSTO's activities.
It is noteworthy that starting tomorrow, the presidency of the CSTO will pass to Armenia. Accordingly, the next meetings of the foreign and defense ministers of CSTO member states, as well as the committee of CSTO Security Council Secretaries, are planned to be held in Armenia in the first half of 2022.
