I Will Also Discuss Relations with Turkey in Dushanbe: Pashinyan

“We have received a mandate to open an era of peaceful development for Armenia and the region,” stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly, responding to a question from ruling party MP Sargis Khandanyan regarding the next steps to be taken towards normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations and the activation of railways and roads.

“The next step, when there is a mutual readiness to start a conversation, implies that specific actions need to be taken to initiate that conversation. This discussion could be initial and work-related. I believe, for instance, that the conversation should logically start as a working dialogue, and then, if we see that specific results can be achieved or if there is a necessity for it, there could also be a public discussion… Furthermore, today I am heading to Dushanbe to participate in the CSTO summit, where Armenia will assume the presidency of the CSTO, and I will also address this topic within that format. Essentially, the message should fit within the framework of what I have already stated from this podium,” said Pashinyan.
