Health Minister Who Mandates Mask-Wearing Attends Event Without a Mask
The President of the Armenian Telemedicine Association, Georgi Chaltikyan, has published a photo with Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan on his Facebook page. According to ArmDaily, Chaltikyan wrote in English that Minister Avanesyan participated in the opening of a new hemophilia department at the National Blood Transfusion Center in Yerevan, alongside the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia, Klaus Wendelberger.
At first glance, there seems to be nothing unusual in the publication, the media outlet notes. However, during government meetings and official gatherings, the minister, as well as others, are seen wearing masks while not practicing social distancing. It is worth noting that wearing masks is mandatory in enclosed spaces, regardless of vaccination status. This is indeed the directive issued by Anahit Avanesyan, which she has imposed on society but fails to adhere to herself. Alternatively, it could be that nobody coughed at the event, so Avanesyan forgot about this small attribute, did not take precautions, and maintained the anti-epidemic rules as advised by the ministry's advertisement—coughing only when rules are not followed.
