The First Batch of 25,000 AstraZeneca Doses from France Has Arrived in Armenia

The Embassy of France in Armenia has announced that the first batch of 25,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine sent by France has arrived this morning at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport, in the presence of Mr. Christophe Katsakhyan, the Chargé d'Affaires of the French Embassy in Armenia, and representatives from the Armenian Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs.

"Coordination with the Armenian authorities will continue for the remaining vaccine shipments, which will commence tomorrow and continue over the following weeks. France stands by Armenia to combat the pandemic. In 2020, France sent three missions of doctors specialized in the treatment of coronavirus, and on August 3, 2021, President Emmanuel Macron announced a donation of 200,000 vaccine doses. On that occasion, President Macron stated, 'Armenians are going through many trials. I address them with friendship and solidarity—France will always be by your side. To confront the pandemic, France is ready to send 200,000 vaccine doses to Yerevan. Together, we will overcome the pandemic.'"
