Attention to Citizens Who Have Received Deferral

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia reminds citizens who have received deferrals in accordance with the Government of Armenia's decision No. 451-N dated April 12, 2018.

According to point 11 of the annex approved by decision No. 451-N, during the period of deferral, each year by September 30, the citizen or their legal representative, or a person authorized by them, must submit documents issued by the relevant educational institution to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and the military registration department responsible for the citizen's military registration regarding their transfer to the next course.

In cases where the required documents are not submitted within the established timeframe, the state authority in the field of education and science submits a draft governmental decision to the Government of Armenia on terminating the deferral granted to the citizen. After its adoption, the citizen loses the right to the deferral and is subject to conscription for mandatory military service according to the law.

Therefore, it is essential to submit the relevant documents to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and the military registration department within the prescribed timeframe.
