37-Year-Old Man Brutally Kills 54-Year-Old Friend with Metal Chair After Drinking Together
Investigations conducted by the Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia have revealed the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 54-year-old resident of the Armavir region.
According to the factual data obtained during the investigation, on March 18, 2020, a 37-year-old resident of the village of Artimet in Armavir met his friend, a 54-year-old man, in the Charentsi neighborhood of Ejmiatsin. By mutual agreement, they bought alcohol from a store in the same neighborhood and went to the 54-year-old man's apartment, where they drank together.
On the same day, at around 15:50, a dispute arose between them during which the 37-year-old man grabbed a metal chair from the living room and struck his friend multiple times in various parts of his body, including the head, which is considered a vital organ. This resulted in an open blunt cranial injury.
After the incident, he left the scene, and the 54-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.
Based on the sufficient evidence collected, the 37-year-old resident of Armavir has been charged under the first part of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an indictment.
