Vaccinations Mandatory for Public and Private Sector Employees in the US
Vaccination will be mandatory for public and private sector employees in the US, according to the Armenian Ministry of Health.
US President Joe Biden, through a new initiative to combat COVID-19, plans to vaccinate between 80 to 100 million people. Biden has made vaccination mandatory for public servants, healthcare workers, and employees of large companies.
“We have been patient, but our patience is running thin. Your failure to get vaccinated has cost us all dearly,” Biden stated.
Previously, public servants were required to either get vaccinated or take a test once a week. Now, those who remain unvaccinated face the threat of dismissal.
Exemptions will be made for employees who refuse to be vaccinated for religious or health reasons. The vaccination requirement will also apply to companies with more than 100 employees, where those who opt-out will need to be tested for coronavirus every week.
