Former Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Expresses Discontent with Organization of Russian Peacekeepers' Duties
Former Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Tofig Zulfuqarov suggests that the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh should be 'tightened up'. As reported by Pastinfo, he stated that first and foremost, Azerbaijan needs to take control of Berdzor, which is part of the Lachin corridor.
“The mission of the peacekeepers in Karabakh is to ensure the safety of civilians. But no one is attacking them; they are not being shot at. The peacekeepers should be instructed to maintain control from their positions, while we will protect our borders ourselves,” said the former foreign minister.
It is worth noting that currently, the Azerbaijani police are inspecting trucks with Iranian state license plates near the town of Vorotan. If successful, Azerbaijan will attempt to restrict the movement of Armenian trucks.
