The Document for the Establishment of a Commission Investigating the Circumstances of the 44-Day War is Ready
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that on July 26, a decision was made during a meeting at the central office of the "Civil Contract" party, which lasted about two hours, to establish a commission to investigate the circumstances of the 44-day war.
According to well-informed sources of "Zhoghovurd", the document for the establishment of the commission is already ready, and members of the parliamentary ruling faction have signed the application regarding the creation of the commission.
According to our information, the formation of the commission and all other related issues are personally being handled by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Andranik Kocharyan. The commission will be under his supervision, and its members will also investigate the circumstances of the 44-day war.
It is noteworthy that the members of the commission include the MPs from the CC faction: Vahagn Aleksanyan, Vilen Gabrielyan, Armen Khachatryan, Gagik Melkonyan, Kristine Poghosyan, and Hayk Sargsyan, as well as Gagik Nazaryan, Gegham Manukyan, and Artur Ghazinyan from the "Armenia" faction, and Tigran Abrahamyan from the "I Have Honor" faction.
We have learned that the authorities aim to involve extra-parliamentary forces in the investigative commission, and discussions on this matter are currently ongoing.
According to our information, after the formation of the commission, the sessions will not be held in secrecy, unlike the commission that investigated the circumstances of the April Four-Day War.
Representatives of the authorities have no information on when the commission will begin its work. We attempted to discuss these issues with Andranik Kocharyan yesterday, but he did not respond to phone calls.
