Why Pension and Benefit Payments Have Not Been Fully Transferred: Zarouhi Manucharyan Explains

Today, "Haypost" issued a statement informing that as of September 9 at 16:00, cash payments of pensions and parental benefits for children under two years of age have been temporarily halted because sufficient funds have not been received from the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs' Unified Social Service.

"As soon as we receive funding, payments will resume immediately. We ask for your understanding," the message stated.

Hraparak.am has approached the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to understand why funding has not been provided. The press officer of the ministry, Zarouhi Manucharyan, sent us the following explanation: "For the purpose of making payments of state pensions and parental benefits for children under two years, Haypost and banks have been funded in September by more than 97% of the payable amount. The payment process will be completed in the coming days."
