‘Citizens Should Not Be Forced to Vaccinate’ - The ‘Free Will’ Initiative Created, Ara Zohrabyan
Dear compatriots, a new initiative titled 'FREE WILL' has been established involving lawyers, doctors, pharmacists, information technology specialists, journalists, and experts from other fields. During the first discussion of the initiative, speeches were made by lawyers Ara Zohrabyan, Araks Vardanyan, and Naira Artashesyan, as well as doctors Dmitri Harutyunyan, Tigran Grigoryan, and Nune Nersisyan, along with IT specialists Arthur Grigoryan and Vardan Katvalyan.
During the discussions, the initiative's objectives and the general plan for future actions were clarified. The 'FREE WILL' initiative is a non-partisan organization that aims to raise public awareness and protect the following human rights: the right not to be subjected to medical or other experiments without one’s free and informed consent; the right to refuse medical intervention; and the right not to bear obligations imposed by laws that contravene rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
Three groups have been formed—legal, health, and informational—which will be continually supplemented and are open for membership. The initiative will contest the Minister of Health's order No. 65 dated 20.08.2021 in the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia. This order will come into effect on 01.10.2021 and mandates that employees present documentation for PCR testing every 14 days or get vaccinated.
The initiative will conduct surveys, organize professional discussions, meetings, and, if necessary, protests to protect citizens' rights against legal persecution in Yerevan and other regions. The 'FREE WILL' initiative believes that: - the decision to get vaccinated should be a conscious choice made by each citizen (free will); - discrimination between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals regarding public health is unacceptable, as vaccinated individuals can also contract and transmit the virus; - citizens should not be forced to vaccinate.
Ara Zohrabyan, President of the Bar Association.
