Defense Minister Meets with General Director of South Caucasian Railway

On September 7, Armenia's Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan met with the General Director of South Caucasian Railway, Alexey Melnikov. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

While congratulating Mr. Arshak Karapetyan on his appointment as Minister of Defense, Alexey Melnikov presented the activities of South Caucasian Railway in the freight transportation sector, the state of railway infrastructure, and development prospects.

The Minister of Defense emphasized the strategic role of the company in the freight transportation conducted for both civilian purposes and the needs of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further cooperation plans between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and South Caucasian Railway, as well as several issues of mutual interest.
