Red Cross to Gain Access to Artsakh Regions from Both Armenian and Azerbaijani Sides

Access for the Red Cross has been granted to the regions of Artsakh and border areas from both Armenian and Azerbaijani sides. This was announced by Ikhtiyar Aslanov, head of the regional delegation for Russia, Belarus, and Moldova of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in an interview with TASS.

“For us, the most important issue is the security of access. As you know, the situation is developing differently, especially along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The primary concern for us is the safety of our colleagues working there. We have the right to enter from both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides,” Aslanov stated.

He emphasized that the Red Cross is one of the few international organizations working in this region. “Even during periods of heightened conflict, our operations have not ceased. We are still actively working today,” the head of the international organization reported.
