New Quarterly Gatherings Starting September 15: Details from the Ministry of Defense

According to the Armenian government decision No. 1409 of September 2, 2021, new quarterly training gatherings for reservists registered in the first group of the first category will take place from September 15 to December 15, 2021, for ordinary soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers. If necessary, participants in the gatherings will also be involved in combat duty.

This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

The purpose of the training gatherings is to improve the military skills of citizens registered in the reserves, to provide professional training, and to prepare officers from the non-commissioned officer corps with higher education.

Throughout the duration of the gatherings, citizens will be considered servicemen, benefiting from all allowances and social privileges granted to servicemen, while their civilian jobs will be preserved. Additionally, for each month of the gatherings, participants will receive compensation based on the official rank set for their military position, depending on their military title and several other factors.

Participation in the gatherings will be included in the citizens' military service or total work experience according to the calendar calculation. Avoiding participation will lead to criminal legal consequences.
