The Desecration of the Armenian Cemetery in Van on the Turkish Parliament's Agenda

Ahmet Şık, a member of the Turkish Parliament, has brought to the agenda the issues of the desecration of the Armenian cemetery in Van and the initiative to turn the Armenian church into a "cultural center," according to Ermenihaber.

Reports indicate that the Armenian cemetery located in the Tuşba district of Van has been damaged due to construction machinery operations, with human bones exposed above the soil.

In commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, Gayane Gevorgyan, who was relocated from Armenia to Van, collected and reburied bones that had been unearthed from the graves.

In Malatya, the historic Armenian Holy Trinity Church has been restored and reopened recently after a 106-year hiatus. Turkish authorities have announced that the church will be converted into an arts and culture center but will also be open to Christians as a pilgrimage site. However, during the inauguration ceremony, the banners displayed only read
